McKenzi and Austin celebrated their classic, romantic wedding at the Commonwealth Event Center of Paducah, Kentucky. Just under 3 hours outside of Nashville, Tennessee, this charming western Kentucky town is a perfect spot for guests to unwind, relax, and enjoy wedding festivities without the hustle of larger cities.
These two Union University grads are incredibly in love – which shows through easily in their photos – as they just giggled and laughed and had the best time all day long. Their entire party – family and friends – were so supportive and loving on the two the entire day, making for an absolutely wonderful day. Despite a few rain drops, the big storms held off and we were able to have the entire day as planned!
Apart from the Commonwealth Event Center, the two chose to do a few private portraits and moments at the Belle Louise Guest House in Paducah, making for a much more intimate time as they shared their vows to one another before finally getting to see each other for the first time. It was the perfect way to have that moment captured by their photo and video team, without more prying eyes to up the nerves.
McKenzi chose a classic fit with a minimal but understated Willowby by Watters satin gown, complete with a beautiful removable satin bow for added flair. Her color palette for the wedding was a classic black and white, with all the bridal party members in black. The girls matched her satin look with similar gowns, bringing together a clean, elegant look to the event which only hosted white florals, mainly roses and baby’s breath. A symbolic cross of solely baby’s breath was a magnificent ceremony centerpiece not to be missed.
Overall, this was the epitome of a classic, southern, summertime wedding. A few rain drops, a lot of sun, a few happy tears, and a LOT of fun!
