I love traveling for weddings, in fact so much so that I get to travel for about half of my work. Something about getting into a new environment, new spaces, new textures and colors – it is so inspiring! So when Megan and Willis inquired with me for their summer wedding in Colorado, I was SO excited to have their wedding date available!

Megan and Willis’s stunning soiree atop Idaho Spring, at a hidden wedding venue called North Star Gatherings, was so true to them as a couple. It was elegant and romantic, but also so FUN and joyful!

Megan chose to dress her best friends in matching white bridesmaids gowns (her favorite color) while Willis’s attendants stayed classy in the classic black suit. They said “I Do” on the patio at North Star Gatherings, overlooking the stunning mountains of mining town Idaho Springs and beyond. We all dogged a few rain clouds, but the sunset made up for the few rain drops as it created the most stunning golden hour in Colorado I have seen in a long time, complete with beautiful sun rays flooding into the woods as we ventured down the mountain a bit for their couple portraits.

Megan and Willis were an adventurous couple, and they were ready to be adventurous on wedding day as well, hiking all around the venue in the Colorado landscape to get the perfect Colorado mountain vibes for their portraits to complete their day.

The entire day will so full of love and laughter – you could truly tell how much their family and friends loved this sweet couple and it was such an honor to be there to capture this incredible Colorado wedding day.
