The Gourley and Smith wedding with, Shayla and Dylan planned the most beautiful boho chic wedding, at The Barn at White Oaks. As always Tennessee showed up with incredible weather. This boho chic Kentucky event was one of the more unique weddings I’ve been blessed to attend. Shayla and Dylan kept things intimate and had the help of so many friends and family throughout their day. Most of the decor was DIYed, it was amazing! They only had 3 formal wedding vendors, the venue, myself and a videographer. The rest was all them and their family and it was breathtaking and so special to witness.

Shayla and Dylan are pentecostal, so they kept things as natural and modest as possible. Shayla and her bridesmaids wore beautifully modest long gowns and wore little to no makeup for the event. Instead of having a makeup artist and hairstylist come, Shayla decided to keep things minimal with her bridesmaids. They combed each other’s hair and had a great time getting ready for the wedding together.

Shayla’s mom catered the event and it was some of the best food I have ever eaten at a wedding. They had close to 200 guests, and her mom was incredible. She served it all and was able to be present and enjoy her daughter’s outdoor dream wedding. At the dinner reception the tables were decorated with the most beautiful minimal plates and decor, served with a charcuterie-esque platter on each table. I was in love.

As we were capturing their Bohemian inspired Kentucky wedding I was blown away by the handmade decor, and intentional details that made the whole day that much more special. Throughout the day we were just in awe of these two and the love surrounding them on their perfect day. With so many there to support and love on them it was a perfect day for everyone involved.
