There is something so inexplicably romantic about the mountains. Maybe it’s the seclusion from the hustle and bustle of the world or the jaw-dropping views from being perched on top of the world. Either way, the mountains are the perfect place for a wedding that makes the rest of the world melt away, focusing only on you and the love of your life. In Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, The Magnolia venue is tucked into the Smoky Mountains, offering a spectacular setting for an unforgettable wedding. Let me tell you what makes this incredible space so amazing.
The Magnolia is a family-owned and operated venue tended to by the current owners since 2006. While they never originally planned to use the property as a wedding venue, they were just too passionate about sharing the spectacular views and mountain wilderness. The family knew they had to find a way to share the special land with others; thus, The Magnolia was born.
The fact that the venue is family-run means that when you choose to get married here, you’re basically part of the family. They’ll ensure your special day reflects their core family values, centered most of all around you, your partner, and your unique love story.
The Magnolia is an absolutely breathtaking venue for weddings of up to 100 guests. They have a variety of versatile spaces that you can use to craft your perfect wedding day, with indoor and outdoor options.
First, you and your wedding party can begin the day in the elegant bridal suite. The room features vaulted ceilings, an ornate chandelier, and multiple hair and makeup stations with room for everyone to get ready together. The best feature is undoubtedly the private deck overlooking the undulating Smoky Mountains, a perfect backdrop for full-body shots of your impeccable attire.
(While there is no dedicated Groom’s Room at the Magnolia, they’ve coordinated space for your partner and their party to get ready at nearby cabins or lodging, complete with a shuttle to make sure they’re back on site in time for a first look or pre-ceremony photos.)
The Ceremony Patio is the perfect place for a vow exchange that will take everyone’s breath away. Overlooking the surrounding mountains and valleys and perched beneath an endless blue sky, the patio is an incredible setting to say “I do.” Strings of market lights add a romantic touch, but with such incredible views, you don’t need much additional décor.
Cocktail Hour typically occurs on the covered patio space attached to the Grand Hall (which is also a great plan B for a ceremony in case of inclement weather.) Then, move your celebration to the climate-controlled Grand Hall, a beautiful space with rich wooden walls and soaring ceilings.
Roll-top garage doors bring the views from the outdoor patio into the space, integrating the mountains into your wedding decor. It’s a truly unique space for a celebration that embraces the rustic Tennessee countryside without compromising elegance and sophistication.
While the views from the patios and surrounding decks are obvious choices for breathtaking photos, The Magnolia also has a semi-private Knoll area for intimate and romantic portraits.
Natural wooded trees and mossy rocks create a unique, natural setting, while in the distance, more mountain views poke through the trees. If the timing is right, the entire Knoll comes alive with golden sunset light for incredible pictures.
The Magnolia makes throwing the wedding of your dreams a relatively easy affair. However, there are a few policies and rules to keep in mind. First, you’ll need to plan to have at least a day-of coordinator to ensure everything runs smoothly, though a full-service wedding planner is preferred. You can use any licensed vendors of your choice, with the exception of the bartenders from The Magnolia’s required beverage vendor.
Since the private property sits at the top of a mountain, your guests must park nearby, and a professional shuttle service must escort them to the venue. Luckily, the venue is only about two and a half miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, which has plenty of hotel and cabin lodging options for your guests.
The Magnolia venue is an incredible option for a wedding, especially for couples who can’t get enough of the mountains.
